Greek Olympic Summer Camp Counselor
Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced counselors to join our team for our Greek Olympic-themed summer camp for children aged 6-12. The camp will focus on educating children about the ancient Greek Olympic Games and fostering an appreciation for Greek culture and traditions. Must be available for following dates and times as per schedule below.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a group of 10-15 campers in age-appropriate activities related to the Greek Olympic theme - Create and implement daily schedules that include educational and recreational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, and field trips - Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship - Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times - Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's progress and participation in the camp - Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required - Assist with set-up and clean-up of the camp and any other tasks as assigned by the camp director
Requirements:
Completion of Grade 11
three months experience working with participants in a recreational or instructional setting
Knowledge and interest in Greek culture and history, particularly the ancient Olympic Games
Satisfactory police information check
Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive and engaging camp experience for all campers
The ideal candidates will have the ability to be inclusive and flexible to ensure a positive environment is created for all participants; demonstrate customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain a high degree of enthusiasm and personal motivation. Experience working with people with behavioral or cognitive difficulties is an asset. Applicants must provide proof of completion of Grade 11 and current Emergency First Aid and CPR-C at time of interview.
This is a seasonal position that will run for approximately 8 weeks during the summer months. Counselors are expected to work Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm.
